Amy Perkins is a teacher working at the Milford middle school. This will
be her third year teaching here in Milford and her first year teaching driver education. Prior to MMS, she was teaching at the Hudson middle school and before that Amy taught at Campbell High school. As a child, she grew up in Brookline NH and attended Hollis High School. While there, Amy was a three-sports athlete. She loved sports and initially went to college to become a teacher, when she suffered a knee injury and was told she would never run again, she persevered and stayed active successfully. After years of trying many different jobs, she went back to college and earned a BA in Kinesiology and Sport Science and received her NH State certification to teach Physical Education and Health. Amy has many ties to Milford. She completed her internships right here in Milford high school and has coached field hockey. It has always been her goal to work where she lives.  Shortly after earning her degree, Amy got married. Both Amy ans Tom chose to live in Milford and raise their family in town. They have lived here for the past 21 years. Amy has served the community as a volunteer coach to her child's sport teams until he stopped playing and beyond.  It is now her pleasure to come on board working in this community with the Milford High School Driving Education program and help teach Milford students they first driving skills.
